This is an ABC book that is fun and interesting to my audience. I decided to do a children’s informational book on rain forest animals. This book does two things—it educates children on the animals and it helps show which animals need to be protected in their environment. My target audience is nine to thirteen year olds, who are interested in learning science. I took a friendly yet informational approach for this subject. The layout in the book makes it easy for children to read and also locate the basic facts that they need. The fonts that are used are Idolwild (the animal names) and Caslon Pro (the body copy). My inspiration was dinosaur and reptile books. This book shows my great layout skills along with the fact that I can design for children.
